MINIMIZE YOUR RISK

The only way to completely avoid a sexually transmitted infection (STI) is not to have sex of any kind. However, you can minimize the risk of infection by using condoms or dental dams every time you have oral, anal or vaginal sex. In addition, you can minimize your risk and help prevent STI by choosing the following:

· reduce the number of sexual partners
· avoid casual or anonymous sex
· delay the onset of sexual activity, and
· be in a relationship where both partners are free of infection, and do not have sex with other partners.

If you think you are at risk - get tested. See your regular doctor, or visit a STD clinic or a sexual health clinic.
